For those who may or may have not been waiting for the 7th edition of the Pasadena Music Scene Bi-Weekly newsletter on January 1st, 2014, we have some good news and some bad news.
Well, which do you want first?
Ok, the bad news. The bad news is that Mistah Wilson is seriously considering making the Pasadena Music Scene Bi-Weekly Newsletter a seasonal publication. And yes, of course that would mean dropping the “Bi-Weekly” from the title in which it will then simply be the Pasadena Music Scene newsletter. Mistah Wilson brought this to the attention of the board two weeks later once he realized his team couldn’t make the deadline in time. “We’re not just trying to dump anything on you. For the 7th edition, it had to be special. Every issue we releases has to be special. And that means when our publications are in development, we won’t release it until we know when we know. The cover is the most important part. Not only is it usually the hottest topic, but it represents an image of our legacy. The way we see it,” Mistah Wilson thoroughly explains.
“If we’re going to continue to run a newsletter in the form of a publication, it will have to be prioritized as a seasonal matter.” Sources around ThaWilsonBlock attributed Bing Bing’s 21-mile walk & entry in the 2014 Los Angeles Marathon as primary reasons for the current impact of the newsletter. It’s not really talked about, but everybody knows it. “There’s just not enough help. Bing Bing needs help! He’s doing way much on his own. He’s using the Pasadena Music Scene as representation on the Martin Luther King March “Unity & Peace” walk taking place on January 19th, 2014, his 24th birthday. Now that’s how you properly lead a city of you ask me,” says one gracious rep of the Pasadena Music Scene coalition.
What we do know is that the Pasadena Music Scene newsletter will re-launch on March 1st, 2014 sand will be released on the 1st of June, September, December, & March again. The next edition released on March 1st will be volume7 in attempt to maintain an accurate number of volumes. Each month will represent a season of the Pasadena Music Scene. Some representatives mentioned that this is a pre-cursor move to making the Pasadena Music Scene produce all of it’s projects seasonally. This means that the newsletter and TV Show will be put together and released every season on a consistent basis. “It’s a great way to package the content and serve it effectively. 3 months between newsletters and TV Shows will give us just enough time to have hot topics and many columns per issue. In a nutshell, it will add value to the overall product package,” examines a rep. “We’re just going to have to wait and see what happens.”
